Meet Ruth

Hello and thank you for visiting!

I am a Qualified Integrative Counsellor and registered member of the BACP and NCPS.

My approach is relational and grounded in three core therapeutic modalities: I have a special interest in Transactional Analysis, integrating Gestalt, and Person-Centred Therapy. This means I tailor each session to you, drawing from different tools and perspectives to support your unique pace, needs and goals.

At the heart of my work is the therapeutic relationship. I believe that meaningful change happens in connection, when you feel safe, heard, and valued. Whether you're navigating the impact of trauma, anxiety, grief, relationship issues, low self-esteem, or feeling stuck in unhelpful patterns, you are welcome how you are, and I will meet you with warmth and honesty.

Together, we’ll explore your story, notice what’s happening in the present moment, and make space for the parts of you that may have been hidden, silenced, or pushed aside. Therapy is like hearing the music beneath the words. I’m here to help you make sense of what you’re feeling, connect the dots, and move towards a more self-aware, authentic and empowered way of being.

Our therapy room is a warm and welcoming space created to bring the calm of nature indoors. Filled with natural light, gentle greenery, and a sense of peace, it offers a quiet, healing retreat.

Walk and talk sessions take place in a private paddock where you can breathe deeply, feel the ground beneath your feet, and let nature gently hold the space for your journey.
